Thank you for your interest in supporting the Faith and Family ministry at Saint Luke’s.

We love that God has blessed each of us with talents and interests that support specific kinds of work. Which is why we want to provide opportunities for everyone who wishes to support this ministry, a chance to do so in a meaningful way. This short form is a simple way for you to get in touch and find the opportunity that encourages your joyful path to discipleship.

Some definitions to help in your selections:

Children’s Liturgy Team: With this opportunity you will find yourself spending 20-30minutes per session (during weekend Mass) bringing the Liturgy of the Word to Life. With teaching materials provided and a vast array of seasoned volunteers happy to mentor and encourage you, this opportunity is the heart of the Faith and Family ministry. Without these dedicated volunteers we would not be able to run the program.

Hospitality Weekends: We host Hospitality Weekend once a month after Saturday and Sunday Mass. Each family registered with the Faith and Family program is encouraged to sign up for one of these events; bring a baked good or some juice boxes and serve the community. A wonderful way to meet people and grow in a sense of belonging. We ask you to arrive a bit early to set your goodies up, and stay after Mass to hand them out and then help clean up.

Faith and Family office help: Every week we make sure the Liturgy team has all of their materials organized and prepared for use. Art supplies need checked and restocked, craft bins need cleaned out and depending on the time of year we need duotangs made up and envelops stuffed. There’s a lot of behind the scenes work in the office that keeps things moving smoothly for the children, the parents and the volunteers. An excellent opportunity for people with daytime availability throughout the week.

Faith and Family IT: We use Google Classroom and run a Google Microsite in addition to using the software platform Breeze for various church management aspects. There is always a list of projects we are working our way through. This opportunity has a wide variety of options, from 1-hour weekly to larger projects.
